Well, Raphael has gone home and I would normally say that I am going to eat better, exercise more, blah blah blah, but that will not happen! The reason is, I'm pregnant! I have known for almost 5 weeks now so I think I'm about 8 1/2 weeks along. I am going to the doctor on Tuesday and he will be better able to determine a due date but my best guess is March 20-22.
I am excited but already feeling sick and it is no fun. So far, no throwing up yet but it is probably time to start. With both of my other kids, I got sick at 6 weeks and starting throwing up just before 9 weeks so it's time....ugggh! As for exercising, that's pretty much gone up in flames because let's be honest, who wants to exercise when you feel nauseated, uh, no one! When it comes to eating, I'm a pig! I have NEVER felt so hungry with a pregnancy before and I have already gained I think 8 pounds in 5 weeks. Not a great sign to stay around a 30 pound weight gain like I did with my other kids :) What can I say, I can't help it, I'm starving all the time so food is necessary.
I am really hoping that after the first trimester, the crazy hunger abates and I can go back to eating just a little more than normal instead of a meal every 2-3 hours. For example, this morning I have already had 2 eggs, 2 glasses of milk, a plain Eggo waffle, half an apple and ramen noodles with some corn and melted cheese. This is all before 11 AM, yikes! In some ways, I consider these free pounds because I have not been to the doc yet and he hasn't started monitoring weight yet. They won't feel so free after the baby's born though :)
Oh well, here's to a healthy baby!
