Friday Morning Weigh In

So, I did weigh in on Friday, I have just been on the go like crazy with Justin coming home on Friday.  I weighed in at 139.8, which is up over a pound from the 138.6 I saw last Saturday.  I did however start eating sugar again and that probably had a part of it and I have had a really hard time getting motivated to exercise when I can't work out outside ever.  We have had the craziest winter with ice and slush all over the roads and side walks not to mention temps in the teens every day.....too cold!

Plus the TV downstairs is not working which makes it hard to do the treadmill without a distraction, grrrr.  Spring, come quickly!!!

I'm even of thinking of taking my kids down to St. George or somewhere next weekend to get away from all this muck.

Friday and Saturday Weigh In

Yesterday I weighed in at 139.4, the same as last week but this morning when I jumped on the scale I was down to 138.6, down 0.8 pounds.  Even though I have been eating healthy and exercising some, I think I have been eating without restraint.  Basically, I haven't been counting calories at all and just eating whenever I feel even a little bit hungry so I'm sure it isn't helping me to lose weight all that quickly.  I feel fine though, at least I'm under 140 again and that's good.

Friday Morning Weigh In

This morning I weighed in at 139.4, only down 0.6 pounds from last week.  I am still sugar free so I'm not sure why I'm not down more than that but my weight has been fluctuating a bit the last week.  I got down to 138.4 and then I started going back up.  It's almost that time of the month so maybe that's why I'm gaining some back?  Anyway, a little discouraging to start gaining weight when I've been eating well and exercising M-W-F this week.

Shoveling snow is great exercise though!!

Friday Morning Weigh In

Well, here we go again!  This morning I weighed in at 140 exactly.  I have decided to take on a sugar free January and for the past 2 days I have done well.  I haven't felt very many cravings for sugar except for once last night when my husband broke out the sweet bread our neighbor gave us yesterday and my kids were all eating chocolate chips, reeses peanut butter cups and treats from Timmy's basketball game.  But, it wasn't even that bad and I resisted fine, even when my husband forgot my no sugar pledge and brought me a slice of bread.

Although I never officially weighed in over the past week or so, I think my weight went up even more from 141.4 to probably around 143.  However, I enjoyed eating whatever I wanted all of December so it was worth it.  Anyway, an easy way to lose weight quickly is to cut out sugar.  I'm not super strict but I try not to eat anything sweet unless it is sweetened by fruit, not fruit juice.

Here is what I am going to avoid:

Desserts and candy
Yogurts except plain
Juice, soda, hot chocolate etc.
Jam, jelly, honey, nutella
Aspartame, sucralose, splenda etc

I am also trying to cut out fried foods but my saving grace is eating cheese.  Life is always better with a little cheese :)  I can also eat fruit.

The only thing that would change my resolve to eat no sugar for a month is if I get pregnant and start getting sick, then all bets are off.

I am also working on exercising more and so far I have exercised every other day and I plan on working out today.  I was so sore from exercising Monday that I couldn't find the resolve on Tuesday and then on Thursday I was feeling very stressed out so I decided to skip the workout.

Here's a healthy January!!
