Friday Morning Weigh-In

Well, I was at 142 this morning which is a 0.4 weight gain. However, I don't consider myself a complete failure since Monday morning I was at 142.8 after the partying I did over the weekend. I actually did really well eating and exercising on Monday-Wednesday although Thursday was not stellar! On Thursday I ate a good breakfast and lunch but went out to eat at Arctic Circle for dinner and then hosted a book swap/girl's night at my house and made chocolate mousse cake, yum! Yeah, so needless to say I gained weight after yesterday's eating because I was at 141.4 on Thursday morning. Oh well, it was oh so tasty!

Really going to do it!

Well, I didn't really jump back on the bandwagon this weekend, there were too many opportunities to eat badly with parties and Sunday dinners where I'm assigned to bring dessert. Oh well, write it off and start again tomorrow! My next goal, lose a few pounds for my anniversary in June! It's coming right up on June 7th so I really need to get my butt in gear to slim down a few pounds. Here I go again for real this time.

(I feel more motivated today than I did on Friday. I usually feel more motivated when I've eaten badly for a long time and start to feel crappy which is how I feel RIGHT NOW!)

Friday Morning Weigh-In

This morning I weighed in at 141.6 which is down 0.6 pounds. However, I did not deserve to lose weight this week because I did not eat very well most days and did not exercise much. In fact, today was the first formal workout I've done all week. I mentioned this to my neighbor and she attributed it to the fact that I have raised my metabolism throughout the last few months so I am able to maintain my weight more easily even when indulging some. Plus, I probably have built up some muscles which haven't completely disappeared yet! At any rate, I feel that this will catch up to me soon if I don't take control again.

Today I am beginning again to eat well and exercise. I don't feel my motivation is as high as the beginning of the year but I am going to try to get below 140 and at least stay there. One thing is for sure though, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied to be at 150 anymore when I feel so good at 140.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

So, I was doing so well today. I tracked calories and was right around 1,000 before dinner and then ate a healthy dinner. I then find out my neighbor has left me a treat on the front porch to thank me for subbing for her on Mother's Day. Six very yummy cookies were there and yes, I ate every one! Allison is sick with the flu so I had to hide them from her or she would've definitely eaten a few with me. I offered Tim one and he had a tiny nibble and that's it. I really have no self control when a yummy treat is right in front of me. Perhaps tomorrow eh?

Vacations are Over!

I originally started this weight loss to look good on vacation and my vacations are over! This morning I weighed in at 142.2 which is a 3.2 gain over the past week. I must admit though, I totally stuffed myself and ate all sorts of food and desserts, it was nice but my body paid for it!

I am still going to try and eat well and exercise, but once I reach under 140 I will just try to maintain the weight instead of losing more. I would love to get down to 130 but that is going to take some work and a lot of patience. I believe I will keep doing Friday morning weigh-ins for now to motivate me to take off these vacation pounds!

Friday Morning Weigh-In

Well, I was at 139 this morning which is down 0.6 pounds. I don't know how I possibly lost weight this week when I was still eating in vacation mode. I'm not joking, I ate waaaaaayyy too much every day but still lost weight. Perhaps my body thought it was 18 again? At any rate, I'll take it! Next week I have another vacation so eating will not be great again. After that I plan to really start up again and eat well. Not just to lose weight, but to feel good and take care of my body. I am starting to feel a little blah from all of the junk food I've been consuming lately.

Also, I couldn't seem to get back into my regular exercise routine after my sickness and vacation. On Monday I did a regular workout but then on Tuesday I trimmed my yard for an hour and a half, Wednesday I mowed my lawn for an hour and Thursday I played on bounce houses on and off for 3 hours.

As a side note, I took my kids to Kangaroo Zoo yesterday which has a ton of bounce houses and slides. The new regulations require a person to weigh 150 or less and I was able to get on and play with my kids with no worries! Hooray for being 11 pounds less than the required amount which has not always been the case for me in the past 7 years!!

Monday Morning Update

So, I called my doctor last Monday and requested amoxicillin instead of penicillin and he called it into the pharmacy for me. I talked to my sister in law who is a pharmacist and she confirmed that penicillin can be hard on your stomach and amoxicillin is usually better tolerated. Well, the rest of the week I just rested, no exercise and then went to Zion National Park. I ate treats the whole time, and we ate out every meal except the continental breakfasts which consisted of surgery cereal and donuts :)

With all of the crazy eating and driving and hiking, I thought I would gain a lot but I didn't. Yesterday I was 139.4 and this morning I was 139.6 which is fine with me, I'll take it. I'm going to really try and eat well this week although I am still feeling in vacation mode. Next week however I'm headed to San Diego and will not be eating great once again. I'll check in on Friday. Bye!
